How to add the bookmark to browser to refresh literature page offcampus

Hi, I remember there is a way to add a book mark the browser to reload a literature page, to check if we have subscription to read the full article, but I couldn't find it, could you please help me wit hthis?

Answer

The HS/HSL Proxy Button is what you need to add to your browser to do that. Instructions for adding the proxy button are available on this page of the library's website: http://www.hshsl.umaryland.edu/resources/offcampus.php

Try the HS/HSL Proxy Button

Add the button to your browser's bookmark toolbar (see instructions below), and whenever you come across a journal you think you should be able to access, click the button to reload the page through the HS/HSL proxy. You will then be prompted for your UMID and password.

Firefox:
Drag the button to the bookmarks toolbar or right click and select the "Bookmark This Link" option.

Chrome or Safari:
Drag the button to the bookmarks toolbar. If the bookmarks toolbar isn't visible, press Ctrl + Shift + B (in Chrome).

Internet Explorer:
Right click the button and choose the "Add to favorites..." option. You may get a warning about adding unsafe links. While it's good practice to be wary, we believe this link is safe.

Note:  Reloading a page through the proxy won't give you access if it's a resource we don't subscribe to. Go to the Library's website for a complete list of journals, databases and books.
