How do I switch on the lights in the carrel desks?

Answer

The push-button switch can be difficult to find because it isn't clearly visible. 

It is located on the white track where the light bulbs are attached, on the far right. If you reach your fingers behind the part of the track that hides the light bulbs from view, you will feel a narrow push-button.
