How do I search for articles that cite a particular article?

Answer

Both Scopus and Google Scholar provide lists and counts of citing articles. You can link to Scopus from the library's homepage, under the Databases heading. To access Google Scholar, see the library's full databases list:   https://www2.hshsl.umaryland.edu/hshsl/resources/databases/index.cfm

  • In Scopus: Search for the article and select it from the results list. Then click the option View Cited by from the menu bar above to view the full list of citing articles.

  • In Google Scholar: Search for the article locate it in the results list. Click the Cited by [number] link to view the full list of citing articles.

More information about finding citation counts and citing articles lists can be found on this page of the library's Research Impact guide http://guides.hshsl.umaryland.edu/impact/article .
