How can I find dissertations or theses by University of Maryland, Baltimore students?

Answer

There are a couple of ways to access dissertations and theses written by UMB students.

1. You can find UMB dissertations and theses through the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database:

  • From the library's Databases A-Z list, click on the letter D, and then click on Dissertations and Theses. (If you are accessing from offsite, you will be asked to log in with your UMID and password.)
  • On the ProQuest search page, search with keywords OR click on the "hamburger" icon in upper left to expand the menu and access the Advanced Search options.

2. Many UMB dissertations are also available from the UMB Digital Archive:

  • Start at the UMB Digital Archive homepage.
  • Select the appropriate UMB community/school.
  • Click the By Type tab, and then click on dissertation. You will see options to filter by title, author, subject, and issue date.
