Read and Publish Agreements

The HSHSL has open access (OA) publishing agreements that will cover article processing charges (APCs) for research articles in a set of subscription journals with Elsevier and Wiley —  not fully open access journals. These journals are published under the hybrid gold model, where the journal is subscription-based, but the APC will make the specific article open. Anyone UMB-affiliated —  including students —  is eligible to publish under these agreements; however, the UMB author must be the corresponding author. More information, including an explanation of the publication process and lists of eligible Elsevier and Wiley journals, is available from the library's Open Access guide: https://guides.hshsl.umaryland.edu/openaccess/publishing-support
