Q. I want to request a book but the catalog says that its lost what should I do?


Lost items should be ordered through ILLiad and not through the USMAI catalog. The order will be canceled when received if submitted through the catalog, because the location field still shows Health Sciences. The catalog is not smart enough to override the cancelation just because the availability shows "lost". Instead, the patron should submit the order through ILLiad to bypass this problem. The patron should also indicate in the notes field, that the book is listed as lost in the catalog.
