Hi! I am doing a systematic review. After reading abstracts I have narrowed my articles down to 75. I found full text for all the articles except for 16. Would I need to pay if I order those 16 articles? Thank you!

Answer

If you order the articles using HS/HSL's interlibrary loan service, ILLiad, you will not have to pay for them. However, the UMB school with which you are affiliated (i.e., School of Medicine, School of Nursing, etc.) will be charged a copyright fee for each article.

Copyright fees typically range from $24-$100 per article. The ILLiad request form includes an option to limit the maximum copyright fee your school will pay. If the actual fee is higher than the limit you've set, your request will be canceled, and your school will not be billed.
