In some cases you might have two documents with citations that you want to merge. You can do this in Word using Write N Cite.
Note: Both documents must have citations from the same RefWorks account in order to merge citations.
Steps to merge documents and update citations and reference list:
Copy text and in text citations that you have already entered from each document and paste into a new word document. Citations at this point will not be updated. You do not need to copy the reference list/bibliography if you have already inserted it.
Once you have copy and pasted the text and in text citations click on Reapply Output Style. The in text citations will then be updated in the text.
Click on Insert Bibliography to have an updated bibliography in your document.
