Q. I am having truble finding peer reviewed articles on medicaid and mental health

Answer

Hi Toni,

Your best option would be to use the database called PsycInfo. Start by entering a search for "Medicaid", then select the subject heading for it. next enter a search for "mental health" and again select the matching subject heading. Now combine the results by checking the boxes next to each line and clicking Search with AND. Then, open the "Limits" box by clicking "Additional Limits" in the blue area below the search results. Check off the boxes next to "English Language" and "Peer Reviewed Journal". Next, click "Limit a Search". I was able to get 37 articles using this method, you may need to limit the articles by publication date. Try experimenting with different keywords, perhaps replacing "mental health" with a specific illness or condition.

Hopefully this helps,
